Alex and Andy’s was a wedding straight out of the story books. As we dined on a 16th century terrace, in the hills above Florence, with the sun setting and the tables twinkling there was a feeling amongst every guest, that this little family had found their happy ending. 

In fact, the whole weekend was filled with ‘pinch me’ moments, starting with a Friday evening drinks party in the heart of Florence itself and finishing with the most amazing lunch in front of the famous Ponte Vecchio. 

Their wedding ceremony took place, as any Italian lovestory should, under the dappled shade of the Villa Gamberaia’s Cyprus trees with baby daughter Allegra watching on. And the wedding night continued to amaze, with everything from 20 ft violin players, to a late night party in the Lemonia. Alex and Andy ended the party, as every rockstar couple should, hand in hand, jumping in the swimming pool, fully clothed — Ah La Dolce Vita…
